WHAT IS SUCCESS STORY?

The success stories depict specific challenges, actors, lessons learned, solutions, outcomes and they also describe one compelling event or an interesting series of events in rural water supply and sanitation sector. They also describe the impact of new interventions that can describe outcomes and how they were reached.  It describes the impact of new innovative approaches which reflect stories and which can describe good practices or good approaches with potential for replication. focus areas could be different special areas interest on innovative approaches.
It has to be a true story with proof of evidence which will be verified by the DNCWS / PHDT as appropriate and DNCWS has the right to rectify errors and publish or reject any submission.

The National Online Learning Forum Platform in RWSS

OBJECTIVE
 The objective of this online learning platform is to provide an opportunity for    practitioners in the RWSS to document, publish, share and learn on success stories as   best practices. This also intends to bring together staff of key stake holders to share   experiences and good practices. It is expected that this will inculcate a learning   culture within the RWSS sector in Sri Lanka. This will also induce a spirit of   competition recognizing best performers and open up a new concept of model    CBOs within the districts as centers of excellence. The result will be technology   dissemination and will induce an innovative spirit within CBOs

The writers of the Success stories could document these in any of the three languages (Sinhala, Tamil or English) they like to share their success story. All the practitioners who would like to share their experience could document same with photos and other evidences to Director (Admin) of the DNCWS. These stories will be published after checking and field level verification of the publication materials.

As the   mechanism   linking the Divisional, District and the National level initiatives, the National Learning Forum intend to document and disseminate success stories in following areas  of interests which will   stimulate and reinforce   the   sustainability of community managed RWSS while promoting   innovation in the   sector.
